LINKWELL Team’s Huangshan Team-Building Journey
Linkwell Team’s Huangshan Team-Building Journey: Exploring Ancient Huizhou, Scaling Mountain Villages, and Strengthening Bonds
In the vibrant days of spring, the Linkwell team embarked on a two-day trip to Huangshan, Anhui. This journey not only allowed everyone to appreciate the natural wonders of Huangshan and the profound heritage of Huizhou culture but also deepened team cohesion through hiking, exploration, and shared laughter.
Day 1: Discovering Mountain Villages and Wandering Through Huizhou Ancient Town
In the early morning, we set off from Kunshan and arrived in Huangshan after a five-hour drive. A hearty lunch featuring local delicacies like stinky mandarin fish and hairy tofu energized the team, leaving everyone impressed by the unique flavors.
In the afternoon, the team embarked on a four-kilometer hike, ascending 300 meters to reach the viewing platform of Liyu Hong Village, known as the "village on the cliffs." As the only ancient village in Huizhou inaccessible by road, Liyu Hong is perched on three sides with breathtaking views of misty peaks, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Here, the team took group photos, soaking in the serene yet majestic mountain scenery.
By evening, the team stepped into Huizhou Ancient Town, strolling along its bluestone-paved streets and touching the traces of its thousand-year history. This UNESCO-listed cultural gem, alongside Lijiang and Pingyao, showcases the region’s profound heritage through its white-walled, black-tiled architecture, memorial archways, and ancestral halls. Guided by insightful narrations, every member was captivated by the town’s timeless charm.
Day 2: Exploring Xidi Village and Immersing in Qiyun Mountain’s Flower Sea
The second day began with a visit to Xidi Ancient Village, where the team wandered among exquisite Huizhou-style buildings. Intricately carved gate towers and winding alleyways revealed the ingenuity and artistry of ancient craftsmen, deepening everyone’s appreciation for this architectural marvel.
After lunch, the team headed to Qiyun Mountain, greeted by a golden sea of rapeseed flowers blanketing the hillsides and harmonizing with the distant emerald peaks. Bathed in the warm spring sunshine, the team captured countless memories amidst nature’s vibrant palette.
